Synergy is a brand experience agency specialising in sampling, experiential marketing, mystery shopping and merchandising campaigns. We pride ourselves on delivering consistent and effective campaigns, efficiently. You’ll find our processes and reporting are industry-leading. We have a team of around 400 brand ambassadors across NZ delivering activations for some of NZ’s most iconic brands. Every team is managed locally by a Regional Coordinator to ensure a quality activation, implemented locally and managed locally. Synergy is the number one sampling agency in New Zeland, delivering around 200 in-store activations a week.

Holden Trax - fun, spontaneous and never dull, much like New Zealand netball fans. Synergy leveraged Holden’s sponsorship of the 2014 Silver Fern season and the Fast 5 series by bringing the personality of Holden Trax to life in stadiums around New Zealand.Netball fans were engaged when a Holden Trax was wheeled onto the court. Fans were asked to find a lucky ‘key to the court’ hidden under their seat. On court, prizes were determined by how many times the headlights flashed when fans tried to unlock their own ‘key to the court’! The activation allowed Holden Trax to excite fans whilst keeping the messaging youthful and exciting.

Charlie’s OJ, an honest Kiwi favourite since 1999. In April 2014, Synergy was tasked to interrupt shopper’s journeys with an experience to build brand love for our favourite OJ, Charlie’s. Taking inspiration from the grass roots ‘half time oranges’ tradition, we set up a ‘half time drinks station’ mid-way through each supermarket. Synergy engaged every shopper who walked past and when they couldn’t stop, we jogged beside them. With bespoke tables, show-stopping uniforms and sweet orange scents emanating from fragrance atomisers, we owned the entire aisle. The results spoke for themselves; kiwis loved the experience, engagements were 52% higher than our benchmark and 15% of our interactions were converted into sales.

Schick & Banana Boat Take On Tough Mudder

Tough Mudder is a hard-core, 20km obstacle course designed by British Special Forces that challenged 7,000 Kiwis over Anzac weekend in 2014. Synergy proactively pitched, negotiated and activated a Tough Mudder sponsorship experience for two of Energizers’ key brands: Schick razors and Banana Boat sunscreen. Over the course of the weekend, Synergy leveraged the emotional engagement Mudders were experiencing through the gruelling 20km obstacle course via integrated messaging located at key locations and on the major obstacle, ‘Walk The Plank’. Synergy also provided ‘on course’ action photos, which were instantly shared via Facebook to 90,000+ consumers and a post run ‘Shave Station’ where Brand Ambassadors shaved off Mudder’s commitment beards.
